Double Degree
Internationalization is one of the primary objectives of most universities around the world. The strategies applied are diverse and fitted to needs,
capabilities and expectations. Among them, DD Programs have the great potential of integrating two different educational systems into one.
Students participating in a DD Program have courses in one common language, attend classes in both universities, become formal students at
both institutions and are supervised by Professors from both universities. Therefore, the Faculty of Yamagata University aiming at a
sustainable internationalization strategy has developed two DD Programs with its closest partners in Europe: Leibniz Universität Hannover
in Germany and University of Torino in Italy.
