The internationalization of universities is one of the primary objectives of most universities around the world. The methodologies applied by each university are diverse and fitted to their needs, their capabilities and their expectations. One of the strategies that creates a strong and long-term partnership between universities is the system of Double Degree Program at the undergraduate and graduate level. The DD Program has the great potential of integrating two different educational systems into one. Students participating in these programs have courses in one common language, attend classes in both universities, become formal students at both institutions and be supervised by Professors from both universities, while at the same time strengthening the relationship of the participating institutions. Therefore, the Faculty of Yamagata University and its closest partners at Leibniz Universitat Hannover and University of Torino have established two DD Programs at the Master level respectively.
