Partner Universities

Internationalization of Universities relies strongly on students' mobility and a wide range of choices for host destinations as well as innovative and attractive programs to promote it.

We have had a continuous, stable and creative exchange of students with LUH since 2013. These activities led to the establishment of the Double Degree (DD) Program in October 2019. In summer our students visit Germany and in winter, LUH students visit Japan. They visit universities, research facilities, research field and cultural sites.

The agreement with the UoL was signed in 2015. Since then, we have a had a good number of individual internships of Ph.D students in UoL and YU. In 2018, 12 students visited UoL as part of a summer seminar in Europe. Symposiums in both universities have also been held. Lleida represents typical Mediterranean ecosystems that we can also study.

The agreement with UoT was signed in 2018. Since, we have had multiple research and educational activities. Ph.D students internships, Master and undergraduate students' exchange, joint research studies and preparations for the establishment of a new DD Program between DISAFA (UoT) and the Faculty of Agriculture (YU) for 2024.

We started contacts with CPNU in an online meeting between Japanese and Ukrainian universities in 2022.  Thanks the Sakura Science Program, 5 students and 1 Professor visited us in YU in Feb 2023 to participate in an international seminar  together with students from LUH, UoT and YU, in total 40 students and 4 Professors.

We have had research and educational activities with MULS since 2009. The peculiarity of natural ecosystems in Mongolia made it suitable for field visits. From YU, we have hold summer Seminar Programs and international symposiums in Mongolia since 2012. We have also host MULS students and Professors during the same period.

Students and Professors from VNUA have visited in YU in 2018 and 2019, sponsored by Sakura Science. One former student from VNUA became a DD student. Students and Professors from YU have also visited Hanoi and the Sapa National Park north of Hanoi. Students from VNUA have also actively participated in online activities.

We have had active students' exchange activities that started in 2015, but we conducted joint research from 2009 to 2016. Additionally, since 2009, we have hold joint symposiums in Mongolia in Japan. In 2015 we had a summer school with universities from Mongolia, Germany, China, Spain and Japan. In October 2023, 6 Professors will visit YU.

We have had four online international seminars in 2020, 2021 and 2022 with students from PUCP and in February 2020, three students from PUCP visited Yamagata University for 10 days to participate in an international seminar together with students from LUH. Most of the activities have been with the Faculty of Engineering.

UNA is the only university in Africa with which we have collaborated until now. Professors and students from UNA have actively collaborated with the only seminars, workshops and symposiums that we held in 2021 and 2022. One former student from UNA graduated in September 2022 from the Ph.D Program in YU. More activities are expected.
