Extracurricular activities

Clubs

Besides research, the Faculty of Agriculture supports a number of extracurricular activities. Students at the faculty can freely participate in activities of their choice at the faculty and the local community. The Faculty has 17 cultural and 23 sports clubs and circles.

It is possible for new circles after acquiring approval form the faculty President. The procedures for forming new circle and renewal are available at the Academic Affairs desk. All registered circles must apply for renewal every April. If the renewal procedure is not completed, the circle will be drop by the faculties and the activities associated will cease immediately!

Internships

Students also have an amazing opportunity to intern in other laboratories and research groups within the Faculty.

Farming

Students interested farming can acquire farming plots for their own use provided by the university. The Shimin koryu nouen is shared by both local residents and students from the faculty. The plots are available for use from April- November every year, applications are received(Around February). The Shiminkouen provides a great opportunity to meet and interact with local community members.

There are also a number of activities outside the university which are usually coordinated and supported by the city hall and the international support forum, Dewa Shonai Kokusai Mura(https://dewakoku.or.jp/).
